Mission statement
The Indianapolis Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit that exists to enhance the recreational, educational and cultural life of the Indianapolis community by encouraging and soliciting support for our city’s parks system by: securing private funding to support the parks system; providing Indy Parks and Recreation with funding for land acquisition, park programs, capital improvements and maintenance; and advocating for quality parks and greenspaces in Marion County.

Actions are activities derived from the Plan 2020 planning process that a partner has committed to implement.
Indianapolis Parks Foundation is working on the following actions:
Strategy
Prioritize investments in projects based on identified overlaps in the multi-modal plans informed by villages and community nodes, anchor institutions, and cultural destinations.

Advocate and fundraise to move the Greenways Master Plan forward, in partnership with the City of Indianapolis
